Today, being “green” is not just about saving energy or recycling, it means having a positive impact on both human and environmental health across the board. From the products you clean with to the places you buy your groceries- we are really starting to understand that everything has an impact on our own health and as well as the planets. The more positive you can make that impact, the better off we’ll all be.

Going green does not have to be an all or nothing commitment, every little bit helps. More and more, there is a “greener” more responsible option for the things we do and buy on a daily basis. The Living Green Locally directory includes businesses that may offer only a few eco friendly products, as well as organizations that are solely focused on green or socially responsible products and services. Often, we include places and services that most people don’t think of as “traditionally green” like resale shops, because they reduce the need for new materials and keep items out of the landfills.
